Hawksbill Sea Turtle

3. HAWKSBILL SEA TURTLE

One of the smallest of all the sea turtles, the hawksbill sea turtle possesses a beautiful shell and a mouth very similar in appearance to a bird beak. The pointy beak helps the turtle retrieve food out of the tiny cracks and holes in which it searches.

Hawkbills have been observed nesting in warmer climates that run along the equator and traveling through waters of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans.
