7. WILD BACTRIAN CAMEL

The wild Bactrian camel is a two-humped ancestor of domesticated camels. It is estimated that there are only 950 wild camels left in their native desert habitat of northwest China and Mongolia. Unfortunately, the Chinese have also begun nuclear testing in the area. This means that the wild population of Bactrian camels is now on the brink of extinction, according to the IUCN.
