Make your home wildlife friendly

3. MAKE YOUR HOME WILDLIFE FRIENDLY

You can help the wildlife in your area by making your home and yards safe for them. Wildlife are sometimes attracted to your home due to pets or food/water sources in the area. They may even lurk around hoping for a snack to steal from your pets or even your garbage. Unfortunately, some creatures are killed due to these type of interactions. You can help by securing garbage cans within your garage or keeping the lids locked, by feeding your pets indoors, and by locking pet doors at night to avoid attracting wild animals around your home. If you need help with removing wildlife safely from around your home, your local wildlife service should be willing to help with removal without harm to the creatures.
